Skin cancer checks
Skin Cancer Checks at Valentine Healthcare
Skin cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia, and early detection plays an important role in timely assessment and management. At Valentine Healthcare, our independent doctors provide thorough skin examinations to identify suspicious skin changes and determine appropriate next steps based on clinical findings.
Skin cancer checks focus on the early identification of lesions that may require monitoring, further investigation, or referral. Where clinically indicated, our doctors can arrange appropriate referrals to specialist services for further assessment or treatment.
What Our Skin Cancer Checks May Include
Full skin examination based on individual risk factors
Identification and documentation of concerning skin lesions
Advice on monitoring skin changes over time
Cryotherapy for selected benign lesions, where appropriate
Minor skin procedures for simple lesions, when clinically suitable
Referral to specialist services for biopsy or surgical management if required
Education on sun protection and skin cancer prevention
Patients are encouraged to advise reception when booking if a skin check is required, as longer appointment times may be necessary. All assessments and treatments are provided following individual medical evaluation and current Australian clinical guidelines.
